What’s a little bit of chocolate good for?
Do you think that to have just a bit of chocolate is ‘not worth eating because it’s not enough’.
Hopefully I can change your mind so that you can still enjoy chocolate without going overboard. Here are some ideas to make just 20 grams of Chocolate so special:
- Eat with mindfulness – Weigh out 20 grams of chocolate buttons.
- Breathe in slowly the aroma of the chocolate before placing 1 button in your mouth. Allow the button to melt around your mouth and down into your throat before taking another button… Repeat this to the end of your weighed portion and you will find that you really did enjoy just a small amount of chocolate without the need to binge.
- I think the best chocolate buttons to do this with is Callebaut Dark Callets.
- Add 20 gram of dark chocolate to Chilli Con Carne at the end of the cooking — you will see it adds that X factor to bring the dish together.
- Melt 20 gram of chocolate into a little dish. Grab a punnet of Strawberries or Blueberries with the ramekin of melted chocolate and go into the sun and slowly dip and eat.
- Add 20 gram grated chocolate to yoghurt with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg and drizzle of honey
- Add to your home made tomato sauce to add a depth of colour and flavour
